Adlai,
I believe I was your fifth grade teacher at Selby Lane Elementary in Atherton, California.
One day it snowed and we let the students play in the snow. When my class came in, I told them to write a composition about the snow--due in maybe thirty minutes. At the end of that time when I wanted to collect the writing, you weren't finished because you were writing a musical composition! I hadn't specified what kind of a composition--written, painting or musical and you pointed that out to me.
